Dropped the motor. As suspected, there was a hole in the piston. Gonna rebuild under the the direction and supervision of Goof.

So I rode Riley"a scooter after swapping out the piston and cylinder again. The clutch grabs hard when starting off. Really have to feather it starting off from a stop. What's causing that and how big of a deal is it to fix?

Are the P shifter and throttle cables the the same except for the little nipple in the carb end of the throttle cable ? I don't use the the nipple, just snip it off.

The guy gave me the trailer. Lug nuts were frozen on one side. Big B broke the studs trying to get them off. Had to salvage the hub as it's rare and no replacement available. Used my new 5" Harbor Freight vice. Worked out well.

Is there a big difference between a 4.5" vice and a 5" vice? I mean in terms of what they can do.

I need a rim for Riley. His chrome rim is suspect. He got a third flat and I think it might be a rim issue. I think it might be cutting the valve stem. But I don't know.

Got Riley's P up and running quickly today with the help of Dave and Geoff. The piston looked like shit as did the cylinder. Can't believe it ran at all. It was a great father and son project, which really means a lot to me.
