One year removed from our quadranscentennial anniversary of TDC and Run From The Sun, we're moving south down the Oregon coast for some new scenery, exciting routes, and much less traffic. Just 7 miles south of Florence is Waxmyrtle Campground with enough space for 40 tent campers (free).
For those don't want to camp, there are two small motels 2.7 miles away in Dune City (Westlake Resort and Fish Mill Lodges) Both seem affordable ($$). Woahink Lake Suites is 4 miles up the 101 ($$). You'll find more hotel options up the 101 in Florence. We do not have any agreements with hotels so if you call them, please don't mention scooter rally events. Book early as we are "in-season" and will fill up fast.

We've reserved sites 45, 46, 47, 48a-b with a maximun of 8 people in each site. One of the sites will be designated camp bonfire and Saturday BBQ. RSVP to reserve your spot.

If you prefer your own site and/or need and RV spot, feel free to book your own reservation at Waxmyrtle Campground. These sites will book quickly.

Limited Parking
This is a scooter camping rally. Attendees are expected to arrive on their scooter. Four wheel vehicle parking is very limited to rally support vehicles only, but we have plenty of scooter parking in the 5 sites. If trailering/trucking to the area, contact us for parking suggestions. Consider parking in Eugene and joining the group ride to camp. We'll have a gear truck to haul tents and bags.

Rides
Friday ride will head southwest out of Eugene, through the coastal range and follow the Smith River to Reedsport before turning north on the 101 to Waxmyrtle Campground. Saturday's ride will be up the 101 through Florence, with scenic stops, to Yachats for lunch. Sunday we'll head north to Florence, then east to HWY 36 to Triangle Lake and back into Eugene. All rides will have fuel stops and lunch stops. A support truck and sweeper follows each ride. Also, these rides are subject to change.

As always, Run From The Sun camping, BBQ, beverages and a patch are provided to rally attendees. Please RSVP to a TDC member or to the Facebook event so we can have an accurate headcount.

From Florence, OR, travel seven miles south on Highway 101 to the Siltcoos Beach Access Road. Turn right onto the Siltcoos Beach Access Road and proceed one mile west to Waxmrytle Campground. Turn left (south) at the bridge; the campground entrance is across the bridge on the south shoreline of the Siltcoos River.

TOP DEAD CENTER SCOOTER CLUB
is dedicated to the restoration and riding of vintage Vespa, Lambretta, and other steel-body, manual transmission scooters. TDC meets every Wednesday night at 6 PM.
